I mean there’s other arguments AGAINST it which are probably just as valid, but it’s not completely unnecessary. as far as non-jewish circumcision goes… it’s an extremely painful procedure, regardless of how young the baby is, and could easily lead to a lot of other problems. I used to mentally excuse circumcision with cleanliness (mostly because I am a girl therefore circumcision doesn’t apply to me), but “for cleanliness!” is kind of lame to say, really. men with foreskin are no dirtier than women with clitoral hoods. it ends up being more about personal preference for the parents, and THAT’S only because they were circumcised. if you want to get your penis mutilated altered when you’re older, that’s fine, but doing it to a newborn baby? that’s… pretty shitty… teach your boy to clean his penis, it’s not hard. alright lol I don’t know much about it it just seems that people DO have their “reasons” even if they’re not worth it I mean yeah
